Hey loves!!
Today’s post is going to be on the products/items I feel are absolutely essential for you to have on you whilst you’re at uni. I have to always have these in my bag because I just know I will always need them so if you’re starting uni this year, I hope this post helps. This post can also be generalised to school/college as well considering I used to always carry these on me whilst I was in school too! This is the first post in my back to school/uni series and I really hope you all enjoy reading this post! Don’t forget to enter my back to school giveaway as well!!
LAPTOP
This one might sound a bit stupid but I didn’t even realise how convenient having a laptop to take with me was until a few months in, I was fine with putting pen to paper, I thought I would be able to transfer my notes later and combine it all together whilst looking at the lecture online at home but no, it was too hard to keep on top of everything so investing in a good portable laptop was probably the best decision I made because when I had a big break, I could easily go into the library or the social area, get my laptop out and revise.
PHONE CHARGER
Biggest essential right here, oh the amount of times I’ve neglected to bring a charger with me and then regretted it so bad is phenomenal; I have definitely learnt my lesson which is why I carry my charger wire with me at all times. Carrying the plug is just effort plus it’s hard to find a plug socket at times so I have a portable charger or I just take the wire and plug it into my laptop which is another reason having a laptop is so convenient.
EARPHONES
This is another one of those things that you’ll always need when you don’t have so I make sure I carry mine with me at all times, just in case I need to travel on public transport or if I have some free time, I just pop my earphones in and block the world out.
HAND SANITISER
This is 100% an essential, you don’t even know how much you need it until you don’t have it. Espeically if you’re travelling on public transport, it’s always handy to have some sanitiser in your bag so you can use it whenever you feel a bit icky.
SNACKS
Girl, you must have something to munch on whilst you’re at uni, you definitely don’t want your stomach rumbling during lecture and if you’re like me and you hardly eat breakfast, it’s good to have something to eat during morning lectures because you’ll definitely be hungry. I think snack bars are probably the best thing to just throw into your bag, they don’t take up much room and they are quite filling. I also love these type of sweets to just throw in my bag, I never have chewing gum because we’re not allowed it in lab and I always forget to throw it away.
PLASTERS
This is an absolute essential, you just never know when someone is going to need a plaster, be it a blister or a paper cut – someone will always need a plaster so it’s best to always have them handy. Plasters are a girl’s best friend.
PARACETAMOL
This is exactly the same situation as the plasters, someone is always going to need paracetamol, that’s why it’s good to have them on you at all times.
TISSUES
I have been in unfortunate circumstances where I have needed a tissue so badly but I haven’t had one and it is the most awful feeling in the world, that’s why since then my bag is stuffed full of tissues so I always have them.
GIRL STUFF
Someone will always need a pad, you might not even know them but if you’re in the bathroom, you’ll get asked and that’s why it’s always handy to have a pad in your bag for situations like this.
So those are all of the essentials that I just think you need to have in your bag, there will always come a time when you need them and you’ll regret not having them. And yes, you can assume that I’m one of those people that carries everything in my bag haha! I hope you enjoyed reading this post, please leave me a comment telling me what your absolute essential to carry with you is! Don’t forget to follow me on my social media sites to stay up to date with me and my life!
GIRL YES. I always forgot plasters when I was out, it was never something I thought I needed, especially at university! Definitely a great suggestion, I love this post!

I never thought about bringing plasters with me even though I end up falling over quite a lot. I now take my phone charger with most of the time as my phone battery dies quick quickly.

So I learned a new word today lol. Plasters! Here in the states we call them band-aids. And I thought of another thing. You’d definitely win a prize at a baby shower where they play the what’s in your bag game because you think of everything 😂
