MY CURRENT BULLET JOURNAL SPREAD!

Hey loves!

Today I’m finally going to be doing a post about my bullet journal and how I’ve set it out. I’m really messy with my journal, I don’t have a spread that I stick to, in fact, I change mine up every week. I’ve even experimented with a monthly spread where I use one page for my entire month. In this post, I’m going to be talking you through some of the pages in my bullet journal, the different spreads I’ve had and my current spread! I’m not the most artistic person but I try my best to make my bullet journal look pretty.

MY FIRST PAGE

You have to make this look nice, right? I don’t have one artistic bone in my body which is why I thought having a quote page would look nice, rather than having me attempt to doodle and ruin the whole damn page.

COVER PAGES

I started this bullet journal in October 2017 but I kind of wanted to do an overview of the year even though most of the year had gone so I did a yearly calendar page, and I’ve started doing the same for 2018 (I’m only half way through that page) and I’ve just stated the year on the other side of the page.

I bought these index tab divider thingies from Ali Express and I’ve used them to separate my years.

EXTRA SPREADS

I know people have a lot of these extra spreads but I’ve only done a few that I thought I would actually use. So I started off doing my happiness box, of course I got all my inspiration from Pinterest, you can follow my board here. I’ve just started filling this page out with all these things that I love and that make me happy. Then I have another quote page because I didn’t want this whole page to look overwhelming.

The next page is my favourite, it’s my bookshelf! Which, admittedly, does not have enough books filled out, I just don’t get the time to read nowadays but each time I read – or reread a book, I add it to this shelf! My next page is birthdays and I really wanted to do this balloon spread that I’d seen on Pinterest but I really cannot draw so I went for this simple yet effect page.

I then have a page dedicated to all my social media passwords for all the accounts and such I have because I tend to forget. Seeing as I only had three months of 2017 left, I made a social media tracker to monitor my following. I’ve experimented with habit trackers and mood trackers, trying to see what works for me.

This year, I’ve stuck to doing a ‘My Year in Pixels’ spread which is my yearly mood tracker, I’ve made a key along the side of all my moods and I fill it in day by day. Also, this year I’ve done a social media tracker for all my accounts for the whole year so I can monitor my growth!

MONTHLY/WEEKLY SPREADS

Since I was just starting off, I had no idea how to set mine out so I’ve experimented a lot and I’m still experiencing, each spread is different so I’m just going to talk you through a few. I however, have decided as I’m writing this blogpost that from next week, I’m going to use one page as a weekly spread, not two seeing as I have too much blank space. I did one page where I tried to fit a whole month on there as I was so annoyed that my bullet journal looked so sparse. At first, I used two pages per week but then eventually went into one and now I’ve gone back to two. I have inserted pictures of my two earliest spreads and now my two latest ones!

  1. Hey, I really enjoyed this post! I started a BuJo earlier this year, but haven’t got around doing any spreads for a good while now, due to other projects. But I am inspired, and I have to say you are being far too modest about your artistic skill, I think you have a great eye for aesthetics! Sometimes, that’s all you need to get started. Thanks for sharing this post!

  3. This is a great post. I think journaling looks beautiful and really want to do it but worry I’ll make a mess. You’ve demonstrated some lovely simple ideas that look gorgeous and are effective and practical. Thanks 💜

    1. I was the same and it used to really annoy me but every night, I give myself 10 minutes to journal and that’s really helped, I’ve integrated it into my night time routine so now it feels odd if I don’t do it!

  6. Love this! You’re waaay more artistic than you let on!
Definitely something I’d love to try out myself, but don’t know how artistic I am… would probably be a fail!
Just wondering how you have the inspiration for each page, what order each page goes, and how much planning you do before putting pen to paper for each spread? Help a gurl out! Haha

    1. Oh my gosh, you’re the sweetest, thanks so much for your comment!! I’m actually doing a post soon about all this but tbh I don’t think there’s a specific order it has to go which is the best thing about it, you make it to fit how you want it!! I don’t really plan beforehand, I kind of do it as I go along but if I’m doing a spread, I do take inspiration from Pinterest
